Holiday Procrastinators Unite!

Happy holidays from the Boxanista family to yours!

Are you one of the last minute shoppers frantically scrambling to find the last of the gifts on your list? You're not alone. This year I thankfully didn't have too much shopping to do, but I actually managed to get it all done before Christmas Eve. If you didn't, though, I rounded up a few great subscription box options for you. There are literally subscription boxes out there for every type of person,  and it can be overwhelming sifting through them all. I tried to narrow it down and make it as easy as possible.

Gift giving hint: Subscription boxes are great fun, but they don't really give you anything to put under the tree. My suggestion is to print out a little card and put it in a nice envelope. That way, you at least have something to hand to the recipient. I found these really cute gift coupons at Photo-Party-Favors.com. There are also a ton of others on Pinterest.

If you're already done shopping, then good for you! Sit back with a cup of coffee and enjoy the post. Maybe it will spark some ideas for next year, or maybe you'll find something to put on your own wishlist. Or you know... you could buy your favorite blogger a little something.

What subscription box would you most like to see under your Christmas tree?

For the world traveler:

The Try the World subscription box is a service that brings you new treats from around the world. Every 2 months, they send a new box from a specific region. The box above is an example of this month's box: Paris.

Price: A one-time gift box is $50. If you purchase multiple months, they get cheaper each time. Shipping is FREE (shipped to US only).

If you sign up through this link, you can save $15 on your first box. That brings it down to $35. What a deal!

For the busy fashionista:

Stitch Fix is perfect for the busy woman who loves clothes, but just doesn't have time to shop. It would also be great for someone who doesn't have access to great shopping. Stitch Fix is a personal styling service that delivers clothing to your door. One con of Stitch Fix is that they currently only carry sizes 0-14 in most items. They are trying to branch out into plus sizes, but this is definitely something to keep in mind if the recipient doesn't fit into this size range. This would be an excellent gift. I know it's on my wishlist. Hint, hint.

Price: For a $20 styling fee, they will send 5 items for you to try based on your style profile. If you purchase something, the $20 styling fee goes toward the price, and you only owe the difference. If you buy all 5, you get a 25% discount. If you don't buy anything, you ship the items back in the prepaid bag and the $20 styling fee is the only thing you pay.  FYI- There are some coupon codes floating around out there, but I don't know that they're valid. I haven't ever heard of anyone getting a discount with them. They do have a great referral program, though!

For the outdoorsman (or woman):

Tackle Grab is run by Earnhardt Outdoors (of racing fame), and seems to have gotten really great reviews in publications like Field & Stream. You can fill out a profile and they send you tackle that is tailored to your fishing style.

Price: ~$15 a month (longer length subscriptions get marginally cheaper each month). Shipping is FREE. If you purchase a 6- or 12-month subscription and use the code FISHON, you can save 10%.

For the reader:
Book Riot is a quarterly subscription box for avid readers. They include books from various genres, as well as book related goodies. Books are sometimes signed or include special extras from the author. Book riot donates 2% of revenue to charity, so you can feel good about your purchase.

Price: $50 every 3 months. Shipping is FREE.

For the health-conscious:

The FabFitFun VIP box is a quarterly subscription box that delivers fitness and wellness related items to your door. It includes things like healthy snack samples, workout gear, fitness dvds, skincare products, or even jewelry. I've heard really great things about this box, and I know I would love to get this for myself.

Price: $49.99 every 3 months. Shipping is FREE. The site is advertising a deal on yearly subscriptions. They are offering them for just $179.99 (a savings of $19.97).

Well, those are a few great options for you. The world of subscription boxes is your oyster, so to speak. If you are looking for a specific box for someone and have a question, I will try to do my best to point you in the right direction. Happy shopping!
